A heat pump dryer is a device that uses the reverse Carnot cycle principle to transfer heat from the air to the drying chamber through a heat pump system for drying materials. The following is a detailed introduction about its principle, features and applications:
Working principle: The heat pump dryer is mainly composed of components such as a compressor, condenser, throttle valve, and evaporator. The compressor compresses the low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant gas into high-temperature and high-pressure gas, which then enters the condenser. In the condenser, the refrigerant gas releases heat, heating the air in the drying chamber. After the air temperature rises, it is used to dry the materials. The heated air circulates in the drying chamber, absorbing the moisture in the materials and turning into hot and humid air. When hot and humid air passes through the evaporator, the refrigerant liquid evaporates and absorbs heat, cooling the hot and humid air. The water vapor in it condenses into water and is discharged, thus drying the air. The dried air is then heated by the high-temperature refrigerant compressed by the compressor to continue the drying cycle.
Characteristics
High efficiency and energy saving: Compared with traditional drying methods such as electric heating, coal combustion, and oil combustion, heat pump dryers utilize the free heat energy in the air for drying, featuring a high energy utilization rate and capable of saving a significant amount of energy costs. Generally speaking, the energy-saving effect of heat pump dryers can reach 30% to 50%.
Good drying quality: The heat pump dryer adopts a low-temperature drying method, with the drying temperature usually ranging from 40℃ to 80℃. This can prevent problems such as discoloration, deformation, and cracking of the materials caused by high-temperature drying, maintaining the original quality and nutritional components of the materials.
